True, but the Vivo Note doesn't have a driver that works, and if it gets it I always have the siloed stick pen. I could probably use only the Go and be reasonably satisfied with that, but I'm a crackhead when it comes to screen real estate. Having more devices whales me to dedicate one to research and the other to writing.

Today I tested putting everything into a bag I purchased for when I, silly me, thought I'd carry around the SP3 so it has room for a 13" device. It is on the heavy side for sure, but I don't really walk around with it a lot. The Vivo actually fit one of the outside pockets. But I don't like that there is plenty of extra room in the PC pockets, in one I have the iPP, in the other Go. The temptation is already there to fill those pockets with an external 20.000 mAh battery and other things that may scratch the screen.

Ah, got it. Instead of using a BT keyboard and mouse, I'd suggest this configuration:

    1. Extend your Go via duet display for the iPad
    2. Miracast Vivo Note to Go
    3. Use Go's type cover to control everything.
So many possibilities, actually. Gotta think outta box.... :)

Duet won't run in Home S.
Type Cover not available yet in Japan.
Vivo Note had no HDMI port. (Or can it receive natively?)

Oh yeah, I forgot you are using S Mode. I use this from the Store: Airserver Windows 10 Desktop Edition whenever I 'borrowed' the Mrs' iPP12 or MBP.

Vivo Note running Win 8.1 or 10 supports Miracast. Use the Connect app on your Go to receive the signal.

Just suggesting ways to streamline your devices. I rather go wireless than mess around with cables and dongles.

SSD benchmark. Had the low scores others were reporting until I turned off Bitlocker.

    Here is my S3:

    And the Go:

    Quite a difference in speed.

An Tu Tu Bench. S3 first:

    The Surface Go:

At least a 50% increase in the benchmarks and RAM speed nearly double.

BTW, I immediately took the unit out of S-Mode. These scores are for full version of W10 Home. All I need now is a Pro upgrade.

I like these ideas. I didn't realize that WX devices also could receive. But surely the Vivo should receive from the Go, no?

Please tell me the app isn't a subscription model?

It's fairly terrible. It is by far, the Go's biggest flaw. Microsoft seems to have gotten everything else right.

I'm banking on a firmware update. Microsoft got the iaf right on the new pen.

Only if your VN runs Win10, yes via the Connect app. I use the app all the time at work on Win10 devices at work.

    It's a paid app.

I have to press very hard to ink using my Surface 3 pen otherwise using the Pen that the rep bundled with the Go, it feels smooth and fluid. I'm not sure what generation Pen is that. I'll ask tomorrow.
