Sure, for text, web browsing, and remote access to his servers, which I think is all he does now. If he still did programming he’d never say that.

All those article writers who claim this or that can replace their work desktop and/or laptop (most recently speaking of iPad Pro) don’t do anything tougher than type text, which could be done on a S-100 bus CP/M machine back in 1982.

Not only that, but some states attorneys generals and EU countries threatening legal action might be a factor as well considering that over 80% of phones are once again on some type of payment plan, typically between 24-3O. e.g. you ought not to be conturing to pay for a device that might be unsafe from a security standpoint

most people only keep the phone for 2+ years. thats the standard for android.

with apple you have to worry about them disabling your apps, slowing down your phone,
and making your battery run out early, forcing you to replace your phone.

Oh please... I could come up with a laundry list of misinformation based crap like that about android, like say the abundance of malware in the play store...

But I guess you feel the need to be true to your online persona...

PS: your info about how long people keep their phones is at best, out of date. According to Gartner, Both IOS and Android users are keeping their devices on average for 39 months.

Once again we are not the norm here :)

Ouch, maybe a bit harsh? Agreed on Android malware though, if I were to dip my toes in the Android ecosystem I'd be installing major well-known apps only. Even then I'd be pretty concerned what kind of info Facebook would be extracting through WhatsApp. But hey, maybe it's worth the risk for getting another toy I don't need

It's a bit worrying when the "short version" is like watching paint dry. :p I'm glad to discover that I'm not yet old enough to enjoy that slow a pace! Maybe someone can cut it down to a minute? :D
