This is a great video. @dstrauss, better not watch this because your credit card may end up hurting. The guy talks through a ton of stuff very quickly, and many things I had not seen or heard.

Who knew, there's an Android app that allows you put semi-transparent floating windows on the screen for select apps. He shows it with a floating calculator window. Once he starts talking about floating apps though, that's basically the end, no more new tips after that.

I don't think I could handle that much customization and freedom...

TIP: Getting to the Open App List

I may be slow, but this has been a frustration since I started with my SDuo, and I haven't seen it addressed elsewhere.

A lot of users (especially long time Android users used to the 3 button navigation) are frustrated by the Gestures navigation, because they can't get to the list of open apps as easily as clicking the ever present button. Here's the trick I discovered:

To get to the Open App List like you see on the left above, YOU HAVE TO START FROM AN OPEN APP already on a screen like on the right above. The white bar/handle in the middle of that screen can be pressed, and drug toward the center of the screen to produce the open app list. **IT WON'T WORK IF YOU'RE STARTING FROM HOME SCREENS.**

That handle is also used in the double tap gesture to go back to the underlying home screen.

Getting to the list of Installed Apps does start from a Home Screen:

    FWIW. YMMV

Good tip! Frustrated me as well. Perhaps more so than most recent devices, you really need to invest some time in learning about the device and not just assuming you know Android so you know this.

It applies generally too, I wasn't aware of the ability to long press on the App Store app on IOS to go directly to the update screen until @JoeS pointed it out to me:thumbsup:

, you can tweak (among others) Open App List gestures/taps etc in MS Launcher to customize it to your needs.
I use the swipe up gesture for that but you could eg also use the dock button.

And BTW, accidently took a photo last night with SDuo and only one lamp on in the room. Granted, shrinking it to get it to post on this forum crunched it some, but the original shows plenty of detail, texture to the fabric, the rug, totally serviceable camera.
