I use Outlook app, with an outlook.com account, here's what worked for me:

    1. Open Outlook
    2. Click on the round icon upper left
    3. Click on the gear at the bottom left
    4. Click on your Outlook account (or which ever account has your contacts)
    5. Sync contacts is the first of 3 slider settings.

    Hope it helps.

<<...Has anyone figured out how to pull contacts from the SIM card?..>>

Found it! @jnjroach provided the crucial hint. There is an Import option in Contacts > Settings, but I had to scroll down to see it. I constantly have to remind myself to test scrolling to see if more options are available in the Duo menus and there frequently are...!

    Thanks jnj...!

<<...can you post a screen shot of what it looks like after you tap the Office app?..>>

In my case, I get a sticky note that's pasted on my desktop computer and a list of PowerPoint files that are on OneDrive. (Note that I avoid storing to OneDrive usually. I either store my files locally or off board on external drives...) Along the bottom of the screen are three options: Home, + (plus) and Actions. You have to press + and then press Documents to get to the individual Office apps.

I keep trying to make the Duo take a screenshot, but so far have been unsuccessful. There's something about pressing two buttons simultaneously; it's tricky. If I haven't managed it by later today I'll take a photo of the screen.

    Round 2

    Media

    • Connected to Surface Studio 2 using USB 3 to USB C
    • Fast transfer speeds (45GB audio in about 35 minutes; 7.6GB HD/Blu Ray quality video in 3-4)
    • Used VLC as a player. Surprising sound quality for small speaker
    • Video playback crisp, no stuttering, good color contrast
    Bluetooth
    • Paired Jabra Elite 75t earbuds
    • Bose AE2 Soundlink over the ear headphones
    • Some interference sitting at my desk (not surprising given the number of blue tooth devices within 5 feet sucking up bandwidth
    • Moving to another room got great sound quality.
    • Tried the Duo closed, folded back single screen and in my pocket (see what I did there?). I couldn't reproduce the problems @desertlap had; hope those are temporary.
    Cortana
    • Installed Cortana (Google Assistant is set as the default out of the box)
    • If you're familiar with the "hover on screen" button in Android, don't use it for this release of Cortana; all kinds of screen overlap problems
    • She will no longer transcribe reminders
    • She will create texts, calendar events and emails for you (I haven't tested that with a third party SMS app)
    Bing
    • I switched the search engine to Bing, and switched the Widget on the screen to the Bing widget
    • Voice search on Bing worked, and it sounded like Cortana to me
    Pen
    • I used Surface Slim Pen (the eraser end erases)
    • Wacom Bamboo Ink Sylus (1st gen)
    • Renaisser stylus
    • in OneNote, Sticky Note and Autodesk Sketchbook
    • All three produced good ink, no stray marks, about equal on pressure
    • very low latency; could also have been application
    • I have a slight preference for the Wacom based solely on the texture of its tip
    • I paired the Slim Pen with bluetooth. There were no additional settings I could find for stylus in the panel; the pairing didn't seem to make a difference - in the software as it exists at the moment
    • EDIT: There is a Surface Pen setting for Right/Left hand (Settings>Connected Devices>Surface Pen>Writing Hand

If you hold the power button in by itself, you get the option of Power Off, Restart, Screenshot or Emergency Call
