Actually, these days we use implants with a saline solution, not silicone.

Twitter is to communications as haiku is to literature.

My contacts at Microsoft tell me that the symptoms I've described are almost certainly related to the Intel graphics driver. They are at work with Intel on a new driver to be released next month which shows promise internally to fix many of the freezes and issues that people have been having.

Of course, they can't say definitively whether the new driver will address all of our problems until we get them installed and tested on our troubled Surface Books.

Don't ask me why they choose not to come on here to provide this information directly.

I'm going to wait a week or so before returning mine and hope that more i7 devices are available at the local store by then.

For all the new owners I hope that 'next month' means this coming Sunday Nov 1..

How on god's green earth could they not test the units enough to know a common issue afflicts them and requires a new driver? I so hoped they would really compete against Apple, but this is just more of the same MS/hardware/software/FUBAR that the Apple community beats us over the head with...

Here's the latest weird wrinkle: folks on the answers.microsoft.com forum are reporting that turning off Bluetooth stops the lockups.

I'm curious if anyone else finds the trackpad to be annoyingly slow in responding? I've not found anything to adjust the sensitivity of it.

I just applied a couple of updates (KB3106932 and KB3105210) that seem to improve my trackpad issue.
