Yes. Even the BestBuy stores won't put out the products until the availability date even though they get them a few days earlier. Looking forward to getting a pen.

Yea, I'm highly skeptical of these claims too (hence the italics), but my point was that even if it is true, it still wouldn't be enough to put the iPad Pro in the same league.

I have an iPad Air. Bought it to check out the art app called Procreate. It was nice but not comparable to full fledged art programs. Until it can run Photoshop or Corel Painter or Zbrush or Blender (etc, etc, etc) it is just something I use to check the weather and play solitaire. Just me...but there is NO comparison between the tablets. Still waiting for solid user feedback with SB or SP 4 with art programs...and stylus capabilities.

OK - now I have Steve for Yoda's conscience and drylmccarty as my Jedi master, I will obey.....

Back to old eyes discussion: now that I've got out the old geometry book and dun a little 'rithmatic - I decided to compare the 13.3" Dell XPS 13 against the 13.5" Surface Book.

    Dell 16:9 11.59"x6.48"x13.3"
    Surface Book 3:2 11.23"x7.48"x13.5"

So two side-by-side documents get 5.8" and 5.6" width, but a full one inch taller thanks to 3:2. As I recall, two documents on the Dell XPS 13 was still small for old eyes, but not so much that it was unusable, so the Surface Book may be a good step up from the Surface Pro 3, with a lot more headroom top to bottom. The AMEX may be unsheathed for a peremptory pre-order...

I'm sure there is a starting point for which that is true =)

Looks like Microsoft wants to be sure that they have stock for when Dale places his order:

    winbeta.org/news/pre-orders-surface-book-reportedly-canceled

Seriously, though, this happened to me, and once your order gets cancelled, it's a mess. It's also the reason that I will now only deal with my local Microsoft brick-n-mortar store.
