It'll be fine. Just refinance your house, and you will have plenty of money for it.

Just another kind donation to corporate CEOs...lol. They'll live lavishly while we poor souls have to refinance a mere tent.
We should take a poll and ask the readers what is the max they'd be willing to spend on a laptop/tablet to meet individual needs ?

But, what if your house isn't
    worth $3,199.00, then what?

A little sticker shocked at this point. I might opt for a 460 now TBH. While the engineering is amazing on the SB, I do a lot of my work taking notes (like how meso described). Onenote on one side and the other side the research article/paper/textbook.

I really am having second thoughts on this matter, and yes I have funds to support it, but this is not a small decision.

Ha, the scary thing is the thought did cross my mind. I already cancelled my i7 512GB order to see how this all plays out. I also had to cancel a Canvas Z order at one point. Honestly sometimes I just wish I was poor so I could make more intelligent decisions

But I want to make sure it's everything they say it is. I gotta lot of cash going out right now with tech since I'm in the middle of making a teen hang out in the basement which includes a movie theater complete with huge 4k TV and a banging sound system, and just went over budget with 5 theater recliners (go big or go home). So anyway if I do spring on a SB I want to feel good about it.

Lots of specifications are coming out:

    dGPU: http://www.reddit.com/r/surface/comments/3p2yrj/_/

"alright, got some decent info. GPUz was a bust, it wanted an admin PW to run the .exe.

But the nvidia control panel had good stuff:

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit

    DirectX version: 12.0

    GPU processor: GeForce GPU

    Driver version: 354.15

    Direct3D API version: 12

    Direct3D feature level: 11_0

    CUDA Cores: 384

    Core clock: 954 MHz

    Memory data rate: 5010 MHz

    Memory interface: 64-bit

    Memory bandwidth: 40.08 GB/s

Total available graphics memory: 5081 MB

Dedicated video memory: 1024 MB GDDR5

    System video memory: 0 MB

    Shared system memory: 4057 MB

    Video BIOS version: 82.08.4D.00.01

    IRQ: Not used

    Bus: PCI Express x4 Gen3

    Device Id: 10DE 134B 00081414

    Part Number: 2702 0001

And here's the Web-GL benchmark run from edge.

    http://imgur.com/8GkDnUh

...which is looking like an unreliable number (edge is terrible at this apparently) My i7 SP3 gets 46.5k run from firefox."

    Hard drive: https://surfacebookinfo.blogspot.my/2015/10/exclusive-review-of-microsoft-surface.html?m=1

Uses a Samsung NVMe MZFLV SSD. Sound is, as expected, from a Realtek integrated chip.

    $3199 = $4132.63 in Canadian buckaroos.

    $4132.63

Given that the stylus is the only reason I'd even consider looking at such a device, for that price it had better work perfectly, without even the slightest hint of annoyance.

No way would I pay four thousand dollars for N-Trig. Just the memory of N-Trig's past would be enough to sour my day, let alone its current not-there-yet state of being.

I'd rather get one of those 27" Cintiqs, (non-touch). I could use the money I save on a Lenovo Mix 700, be full Wacom EMR on both devices, and still come out ahead.

Of course, Lenovo is a giant question mark in my mind these days...

Maybe just stick with the Cintiq and bank the rest...
