Windows Weekly (Thurrott) rumor today - Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book firmware update(s) coming January 19, He couldn't say whether it was just sleep mode or more...

Thanks to everyone for posting your experiences. I am spoiled by the stability of my SP2. But I'm cursed by having to endure the older technology. Lucky for me it does what I need it to do. ;)

Interesting about laptop usage. I wonder if MS will see similar usage from others and go with just a straight laptop? Why invest in all of the premium engineering and manufacturing to create a machine that could be created as a simpler laptop? Replace the "lobster hinge" and "screen lock" with a simpler traditional hinge.

    Anyway...

Didn't you have an SP4? I can imagine SB inking is better than SP3. But I would expect SB and SP$ would have similar inking performance.

But you know you want to. It's ok to go over to the Dark Side.

I have jumped ship to the Pro 4. 12.3" vs 13.5" is noticable, but so is the stability (from not having the video crash every time I detach the system from the keyboard base). :)

That's not really the darkside, and besides, what does it really offer over my (as yet to sell) Surface Pro 3 except for quieter fan...

Has anyone found a folio that will fit the Clipboard - I don't like carrying it nekkid around the office.

OK - now that I've flushed out the members with naughty minds...

how about the rest of you guys - any folio suggestions for the Clipboard?

I did get a good suggestion for battery life - just gut up and bring it to day-long meetings in Panos' "creative mode" and draw on T-Rex while pretending to take notes all day long...

AND - another plug for that incredible screen. I've been a long time user of Texture (formerly Next Issue) the monthly magazine subscription site. In portrait mode, National Geographic is SPECTACULAR - and in horizontal, you get a very readable two page mode, just like reading the real thing. I was shocked how lite and manageable the Clipboard is - but battery life is iffy - 65% left after one hour (if accurate, 2.25 hours). Still, it is just flat AWESOME in tablet mode. No, it's not my iPad Air 2, but it is great nonetheless.
