I'm willing to beta-test the Surface Book if they pay me $3K.

    Oh wait...

As I said, you need to apply the latest BIOS update, which was released specifically to address the throttling issue.

I've had the Surface Book for a few weeks now and mostly loving it.

There is one issue, however, that may be a deal breaker for me. The anti-glare, or whatever it is, makes it so I can't see the screen while wearing polarized sunglasses unless I turn the screen sideways. Pictures may be more helpful then words:

    Normal/laptop/landscape orientation

    Sideways/tablet/portrait orientation

I've seen this on all laptops I've used, but always the other way round. The laptop isn't usable wearing sunglasses unless I undock it and use it sideways. That sucks for me because I'm mostly using this while commuting and trying to get actual work done.

Anyone else dealing with this? Have any easy fix I haven't thought of? (glasses are prescription and not using them or using them without polarization isn't really an option unfortunately).

I have that same exact problem with all the displays in my BMW. I've never heard of anyone else experiencing a similar problem and I have a bit of color blindness and since all the displays are red I've always just assumed it's just me. But the second I put polarizing sunglasses on, all the characters on all the displays, from the dash to the radio disappear. It's the craziest thing.

Not having this problem I admit to not paying too much attention but I believe once hearing in a conversation that their exists SP for this scenario, and, here is what memory fails, she had to buy it through her ophthalmologist.

Yes, I'm happy to see you and that is a Sony Xperia in my pocket

Ha! My fiance has a BMW and I have the exact same problem with the displays in it as well.

    What's an SP?

Screen Protector, more specifically an anti glare screen protector could do the trick. Try getting a few types and trying them till one works; they are really cheap $5 - $15.

I have a hardened tech glass screen protector on mine. I'll check it out with my moms prescription polarized sunglasses when I get home from vacation. I'll update you with the results.
