I'd be perfectly happy driving a single 4K monitor, as long as it was a big one :)
I wonder why the the author of that article could not get 4K to work from the surface dock?

Unless I missed something else, his issue was getting Netflix to play in 4k on an external TV; it wasn't about not being able to use a 4k monitor in general.

Nope - I used it in Portrait Mode for static content and it was fine...

The author is active on Surface Forums and he really does look for ways machines fail/not live up to expectations...he looks for edge cases.

Correct - Netflix 4K requires HDCP 2.2 but he incorrectly states that the Surface Book 2 is not compliant, it is with the correct adapter and if the TV is compliant as well. The official USB C to HDMI adapter from Microsoft is HDCP compliant (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/s...pter/94chb2m80s54?activetab=pivot:overviewtab), my cheap 4K TV in my Home Office isn't, my Vizio in my Bedroom is compliant.

Alright guys the surface book 2 is indeed bright enough to use it in a bus in the summer to type sarcastic comments on tablet pc review forum.

While tethered to internet via a Galaxy Note 8.

So they are both clearly powerful enough to type and send text over the internet.

Don't think that's been possible before.

    Nothing wrong here

In all honesty, using the surface book 2 15 inch is the most enjoyable experience I've had. Really shockingly light. Reading comics on it was fantastic for one hour. Now it feels normal and all other tablets look as small as the display on the apple watch.

Well he won't have to look hard. Getting a current version of photoshop to run and be usable hasn't been an edge case for twenty years, and yet...
