    Just thinking out loud guys,
What if they also release a new enhanced dock?
    One with Thunderbolt.
The Surface Connector has the bandwidth, right?

Yep you can count on that you will wait far too long time.:p
My prediction is for February or March released in Europe.
Theoretically most of the change surface connector support the bandwidth
Just like with new surface pro will offer thunderbolt adapter we might see a dock for the Book 2.

Well there’s highly possibility for that, that’s true.

It’s a dream machine from specs and future proof features but hey it’s ugly like a monster of living hell like Frankenstein like Walking dead people.

No No I can’t live even 1 minute with that monster.

How how on earth there’s company to release such thing.

It’s out of common sense these days.

For me gaming starts at 1080p and that's on a 4k TV. Sure, of course, I do have a dedicated gaming mini machine with a 1060 card but my Pioneer amp, in the front room, flakes out the moment you drop below 1920x1080 when gaming. Instant black screen. Is the 965m or 1050 suitable for 1080p gaming? Not really. There's nothing 'wrong' with a 1050, at all, but if you're planning on gaming it's a 1060 (for me) or just the intel cpu.

If I'm not gaming then I'd rather save money, battery life and a small bit of weight. So, for me, there's two choices: The standard Surface Book 2, i7, with no dGPU or the full on 15" mega-ninja i7, 1060. To me the 1050 just isn't really worth it (But I'm not thinking of photo work or video processing). I'm currently using a Surface Pro 5 with the i7-7660u and, other than gaming, it does everything I ask.

I've owned a few gaming laptops, over the years, with a 960m and it simply wasn't worth the low frame rates and constant dropping of settings. My recent HP, as noisy as it was, with a 1060 handled everything I threw at it at 1080p. As soon as I saw the 15" Surface, with the i7 and 1060, I knew that MS had finally struck a golden combination. ...But that price!

    1050 - 1060 MaxQ
    FPS
    70.4 - Dirt 4 - 93.6
    82.5 - Prey - 126
    36.0 - Ghost Recon - 58.7
    55.0 - For Honor - 92.3
    98.1 - Resident Evil - 169
    32.0 - Watch Dogs 2 - 56.8
    37.4 - Dishonored 2 - 64.7
    52.8 - Titanfall 2 - 79
    21.0 - Mafia 3 - 40.7
    29.6 - Deus X - 50.2
    40.4 - Mirror's Edge - 66.4
    38.4 - Doom - 91.1
    47.0 - Far Cry Primal - 81

The difference between a 1050 and 1060 is... Worthwhile. I'm not saying that the 1050 is pointless at all as it's a reasonable card.

If the card is a FULL 1060 then that's even more Ninja like.

If I’m not wrong all of i7 is with Nvidia both 13+15” version.
No one version with Intel 620 alone.

The only choice with no Nvidia is i5 dual core with Caby Lake instead of Coffee Lake and quad core i7.

Yes I agree that for gaming purposes 1060 is the minimum requirement BUT we are talking for a portable 2 in 1 machine NOT a gaming so it’s impossible to fit 1060 on 13” body device without sacrificing battery life, heat developing and fan loudness.

MS needed to do the sweet balance between prossesing power and batttey life/heat and fan loudness and of course physical size and thickness of both version and decided 13” with 1050 and 15” with 1060.

But again 1050 is much Better than Intel 620 you will get much better gaming experience not doubt about that.
