    even a "small" assembly I have been working on is about 150 megs, zipped.

    150 megs isn't that large for an attachment these days. My server is fine with it if yours is willing. Alternatively, do you have Dropbox or any other such file sharing service? Feel free to email me so we can set up the deets.

    After 3 hours of just using the clipboard at best battery life performance and suggested brightness using One Note and doing some Slack messaging, I was down to 10% battery life.

    I did set up a drop box location, you should have received an invite.
    this assembly has just over 450 parts and is typical of what I do.
    something with the SB2's specs should eat this up

    I got to try the SB2 today and must say that I was impressed. Too big for me but the tablet was lighter than I had imagined for the size. The keyboard on the 15" is expansive and comfortable. Microsoft has made some really impressive hardware. The MS kiosk doesn't even have room for the Surface Notebook.

    I would be interested in the impact Slack is having on the battery drain. My experience with it is it is a resource intensive.
