    Won't deny that the Surface is not snappy more likely because of the slow eemc than atom cpu i believe but i read the impact of meltdown & Spectre flaw patch (up to 40% cpu performance loss) occurs only for some use case not necessarily noticeable for the "average" user.

    Anyway, the Go is probably better allround if 10.1" size is enough

    Love the size of the Go and power is a bit of a step up.

    I would say that with the meltdown and spectre disabled, the surface 3 is noticeable faster.

    My Surface 3 LTE finally died today :( admittedly not getting nearly as much use since I bought the Galaxy Book 2. I grabbed it and the top of the screen is separated from the case, guess the battery is bloated. Timing is good in that a Galaxy Book 3 or maybe a Surface Go 2 LTE will be release by the end of the year.
