Looks like it. So what are you going to do going forward since your S3 outta warranty?

    My suggestion is:

    • Docked your S3 & use it as a desktop with keyboard, mouse & extended monitor
    • Get a burner TabletPC for the time-being &
    • Sync your notes via OneDrive
    • Wait for Go LTE or
    • Go (ha!) for the current Go now.
I'd be upset if I were to lose my S3. Such a great device this fella is.

Time to let the car tires put the damn thing out of its misery. Quick, take it to the driveway!

I am tempted to just pick up a go and figure out the LTE issue later. I suspect that if I get one now, I'll wait until we see 5G modems. Maybe even an ARM version of the Go, which is probably in the design's future.

I agree this is best for now. I mean, why wait since I figured you've eyeing that Go since Day 1? Tethered to your Note 5 & you're good to go (ha!) Use the S3 as your extendend monitor. Both are light enough to be carried together.

Or borrow a page from Dale's playbook, get one from any retailer that offers a 30-day return policy, and return it before the window's closed. That'll buy you a full month. Another retailer will buy you two full months. By then I'm sure info on LTE would have been available.

Would Surface 3 users running Windows 10 1809 or 1803 please be so kind to check their machines for Spectre & Meltdown vulnerabilites with InSpectre and report the results here? Thank you!
