@Bronsky - give the Galaxy Book another look man - you're a Galaxy Note devotee, and you would never be without a stylus as long as you have your phone with you (oops - forgot it was stuck - but I know you'll upgrade that soon as well).

I think the battery life and ssd situations are a no for many of us Surface 3 users. What I am really looking for is is the new Surface Pro internals in a S3 body w/ 9 hours of battery life. That would be neato and instant buy for me(pending it's $900 for top model with keyboard and pen). Or maybe MS can bring out a Surfacebook small; a 10.8" 3:2 variant with core m cpu. The tablet portion can be ARM based and do 5 hours, while the dock has a core m cpu and can do a total of 14h.

I think my Surface pen decided it rather not come into work today. It may have decided to quit. So, I am at a bit of an impasse. Do I go SP4 pen(can get one for around $30 open box), nSP pen, or Wacom Bamboo smart pen(40 open box)?

It's not the battery as I tired a new one and didn't work.

...Unless you have an nSP, and therefore the option to consider tilt, I would recommend that you try the Wacom Smart Pen. Most people who've tried it seem to like it (Me Too... Oh. Wait...)...

If this is the model where you unscrew the cap, i recall that the thread oxidizes a bit, making the cap-to-pen connection electrically insulating. If that's the problem, screwing and unscrewing the cap a few times might do the trick. I forgot who shared this pearl of wisdom earlier, but it worked for me at the time.

The bamboo smart pen works great on the Surface 3. I like it better than the Pro 4 and Pro x pens.

Thank you. I will look into the wacom pen then as it seems people are liking it. How is hover vs the SP4 pen?

...To my eye, it is the same.
