I wouldn't expect a Surface 4 until Intel releases a new ATOM SoC.... some time next summer at the earliest.

Absolutely no WiFi issues and rare issues with the graphics driver in 8.1.

Not having any kind of issue with 8.1 that I'm still using.
Maybe reinstall driver manually via devise manager, restart and let Windows by itself install them from the beginning.

If continue having issue go to update and recovery and refresh Windows.

If not resolve even that way contact MS customer support because it's not normal behavior at all.

Not having or had in the past any kind of issue with micro usb port from many other device.
With little attention when plug-unplug cable you will not have any issue, unless your unit is defective from the beginning.

Exactly. The Surface 3 was released 3 months ago, it will have been out for 5 months by the time October comes around. MS might give it a small spec bump if Intel has released updated Atom x7 SoCs by then (like going from 1.6GHz to 1.8GHz). Otherwise I wouldn't expect a Surface 4 until around May of 2016, a solid 6-7 months after October.

Then again, Microsoft kept the Surface 2 longer than a year as it was released in October 2013 with the Surface 3 coming out 19 months later. They could very well do the same thing this time around and only have the Pro series go through annual updates.

Unless, of course MS Makes a Core M variant of the S3.:D Which, is not likely.

That had crossed my mind but then the S3 would be priced the same as the SP3. I would thoroughly enjoy a Core M S3 but, if anything, I think MS would more focus on a Core M version of the SP3.

I think it needs it's own branding for the pricing reason, but I really hope they put the core m in an S3 sized frame rather than the SP3.
