    For random IO it's faster than an HDD, but for sequential writes it is quite a bit slower than a good one.

    Microsoft confirmed that the Surface 3 could output to 4K but limited to 30Hz, that was during their reddit AMA about 3 weeks before the Surface 3's launch. It's nice to know that it can at least do it, not bad for an Atom powered tablet.

    I think that would be a real popular accessory, specially if they keep the size compact and keep the ability to use they keyboard and kickstand(or include it's own).

    So how are you liking this?

    I really like it (I think), and that's coming from a SP3 (which I still have).

    Just is very nice. Only time will tell though. Issues may surface ;)

    But for $440US, it's a welcomed tool.

    You can always buy a battery bank. There are ones on Amazon that cost $20, take up about as much space as a Note 4, and can fully recharge the Surface 3. I think that's a better solution than a 1.5lb case or 1lb Power Cover. That's after owning a SP2 with a Power Cover for over a year.
