So, lately my 3 years old Asus Zenwatch 2 (smartwatch) has been acting weird. The battery drains down to less than 7% by the time I'm home, but jumps to 100% as soon as I put it in to charge. I'm talking about a split second here. I always think it's a fluke, but when I reboot the device it still shows fully charged. This happens once in a long while, but just this week, it has happened twice consecutively. Any battery experts to explain what's happening here?

This is like a dead battery.
    I hope I am wrong.

...I have to agree. It behaves as if the battery has failed...

It's quite erratic. Turned on the device this morning and the battery was at 30%, but it charged normally when I plugged it in

Obviously, keep using it for as long as it continues to operate in a reasonable way, but take the precaution of saving anything on it that is of value to you.

Although 3 years seems like a short time, it is well within the time frame when Li-Ion batteries can be expected to start showing signs of end-of-life...

Looks like the battery is showing its age. Happened to some of my electronics before, although not on a Zenwatch.
