Hey guys, I got a question about my T4210.

Sometimes in class I close the lid (letting the computer go into standby mode) and it gives this fairly loud beep sound, indicating it's gone into standby. How do I turn this sound off?

Muting the speakers does not work, since the sound is not coming from the speakers.

Does anyone know how to prevent this (standby notification) sound from happening?

stop it from going into standby, or turn off the beeper volume in the BIOS.

You might also try muting the PC Speaker in the Volume Control.

Andrew, he's already mentioned he's tried that, as sound is in fact not emanating from the speakers.

I have not checked my BIOS but it must be there.

Are you saying you can not find it?

    In the Bios:

Advanced > Misc Config > Volume > OFF
