Well Sony's last pen enabled device was wacom based too, so it's a good possibility.

Nope. I just saw the portion of the video where the lady says there is a battery inside. It looked a little big...

My first Pen Display was a Sony: LX900 Slimtop with Wacom UD digitizer @ 256 levels of pressure, circa 2001. Even with it's turdtastic Pentium 3 innards, I loved it while it worked...

Looks like it's actually a Waltop pen after doing some research.

It's either UC Logic or Waltop, but not Hanvon, N-Trig or Wacom.

Only really familiar with N-Trig and to a less extent Wacom, so not sure if Waltop or UC Logic are any good. What makes you say it's not N-Trig?

The tip shape is not Ntrig.

That is a pretty good eye. Just got my Thinkpad Tablet back today and looked at it's pen and the Sony tip looks a bit thinner. Also, not sure if this unified among N-Trig enabled devices, but my Thinkpad only has one button, while this has two. Maybe it's using a next gen N-Trig digitizer?

I don't think so. It's a dead on copy of Waltop tip. And it also has the same button locations on the side as a Waltop pen.

How do their digitizer compare to n-trig and wacom?

I read they are as good as Wacom in feel. It's just that their pen need battery inside.

Never used one, but I think those Monoprice tablets are Waltops.
