I will say the price discrepancy is odd. It's the only thing holding me back from placing an order. I would prefer to just go down to the MS store and pick one up, but the 4gb RAM is too low. Because of the way Lenovo prices this thing on their website, adding only 8gb bumps the price up to around $1450 or something. Too much for 4gb RAM extra. Guess I'll have to wait more.

I am thinking in the next few week getting a ThinkPad Yoga, I take most of the issues I have read about have been corrected? Would it be better to get it from the MS Store, Lenovo or Frys, if I want base(with the digitizer of course) and 256gb SSD?

The ms store has the TPY with digitizer, 128ssd, and i5-4200 for $1100, which seems much cheaper than I've seen elsewhere. I think I've finally decided to get this over the Fuji q584. The drive in this is user replaceable (2.5in, 7mm) so you could upgrade to 256gb later

That's a great price. Too bad RAM is soldered.

Yeah, I went down to my local ms store to buy this one today, and they informed me that they had just received the i7 models in the back - 256gb ssd, 8gb ram, i7-4500u, with digitizer. Happily setting it up now :) $1630 after crazy wa 10% sales tax. Same machine on Lenovo.com is $1839 before tax.

Not that I've seen, but the ssd is said to be user replaceable, so you could swap it later.

And yet the Baytrail Thinpad 10 fully speced will apparently be $1200. Go figure....
