Software to Paint from a digital photo?

Hi!
I was wondering, with the HP tm2, is it possible to upload a saved drawing or picture that you got from the web and paint that picture using a program (i.e. Corel Paint it, Photoshop) - I am getting my laptop later this week sometime and I was just wondering if that was possible. I know you can make a photo become a painting but I myself want to do the painting.

Those programs run on the TM2, so you can do it the same way you would on your desktop. If you've never used a stylus to paint in the computer, then you're in for a treat.

 

Thank you. I have never actual painted or even used either corel or photoshop but I do like to paint and was wondering if it were possible to do so on either of those programs because I know that they will both be installed onto my new laptop.

Yeah, I was about to suggest ArtRage myself, though I've only ever used 2.5's free edition. It allows you to even overlay the template image that you want and sort of 'trace' over it, or you can put it in the corner simply as a reference.

 

Corel Painter has an excellent trace feature.
