Hey...I have had mine down under for quite a few weeks now (via shopBLT)....just wasnt posting 10 times a day complaining that my wife failed to register her postage, therefore that was HP's fault!

Whoo-hoo - I have shipping notice! I ordered 2/27/11, just before the banner went up on HP's site. That's even better than Rick's stated target of getting the time down to 10 days to ship by the end of February (and way better than the estimated 3/27/11 ship date that HP put on the order).

My nightmare is near to finish.
shopBLT had it in stock, accepted my French card, and accepted to deliver in France.

Rick has solved the main point: retailers have them in stock, so they can sale it.

  Zones has 382 units in stock

I wish I knew what Rick did to pull the cork. It is amazing.

It's gonna fun to watch the Ebay slide now.

By suppressing the build quality fairy? I don't know myself but some of newer units seem to not match the quality of the earlier units according to some reports. I hope its not true.

Actually, that online inventory number is apparently inaccurate. I've been waiting for a replacement slate from Zones, and they claim they're out of stock. They're telling me they won't have new slates until the 21st. But if someone hears otherwise, please let me know!

    Well,
Slate is really neat...except for me, 68 YO, in a cast (skiing) not the greatest and I find I really am more a laptop user (need for my medium format cameras)

If anyone interested, it is virtually new. For 750 I'll fedex overnite. Bank ck, MO. Personal ck waits for clearance.

If you want a ref, go to the GETDPI forum, and ask about gogopix.

    Victor

PS I also have the plug for monitor
