    Hey airgaps,

I had this problem too. I just simply restored to a time when I didn't get this error. I'm guessing this happened to you after you tried updating the fujitsu utilities. My best suggestion is to not update them unless they are no longer working (but they do!). Restoring fixed the problem for me.

I wish I had a CD for Vista Business, so I can just do a clean install =(

I'm almost afraid to update anything now. Something has gone wrong almost everytime I've upgraded a program. I tried so many things to fix the setslate error to no avail. Even uninstalling it and reinstalling it didn't work, so it makes me wonder what was wrong because I'm no computer expert (but I'm no computer dumby either).

I had the same problem with a U1010 trying to rebuild it manually with XP.
I spoke to Annie at Fujitsu and she told me I need the XP downgrade CDs, which she provided for me. Try sending her an email:

I still had the same problem after a re-install with the Fujitsu CDs, got this response:

If you are using XP Tablet OS or XP Pro OS? Your email mention XP recovery disc.
Assume it is tablet XP ,please follow steps below. Check BIOS:-

    BIOS Setup
    1.1. Go to “Advance”
    1.2. Go to “Miscellaneous Configurations”
1.3. Change the “Touch Panel Settings” to “Tablet”

Please install DotNetFrame work 2.0 before install the Button utility.
    Where to down load driver:

DontNet can be download from here...
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...CB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en
Step to install the button:- Uninstall all the button drivers and utilities before
    1:Install the Button driver.
    2:Install the Butotn utility.
    3:Install the touch panel driver.
    4;Install mouse driver.

I had these same errors on my u810 when i reverted to XP Tablet. But I lost the fujitsu tablet calibration utility when I performed all of the steps that Maunded described above. I had to go back into the bios and change the settings from "tablet" to "touch panel" and reinstall the pen driver from the u810 driver disk. At that time, the fujitsu calibration icon came back and i was able to calibrate accurately.

Well I realize it is the button utility for sure, because even when I install/reinstall the software. It gives error.

A command prompt box comes up and once it hits the command line to install the ftsetslt.exe it gets invoked and has problems afterwards.

And I never updated any fj drivers ( I don't use any auto update)

So I am thinking its a vista update, that is the only thing I can think of since I did install a few new updates to vista itself through windows update
