UPDATE (Nov11): Having finally received my own S7S, I have updated this post with information in BLUE...

Now that the Series 7 Slate is close to being delivered, I'm sure it won't be long before owners start looking for mobile power accessories. Thanks to forum member Lerun for providing the following information.

The model number and voltages are:

    <> Made by: Lite-On Technology
<> Model number: PA-1400-14 (As verified by another member below)
    <> Product ID: AA-PA2N40S
    <> AC Input: 100 - 240V at 1.0A, 50 to 60 Hz
    <> DC output: 19V at 2.1A; center conducter (+), barrel (-)

    Brick dimensions (excluding the rubber strain relief for the DC cable) are: 93.32mm x 38.48mm x 27.51mm (3.67" x 1.52" x 1.08")

The DC barrel connector on the AC adaptor appears to be very similar to the DC connector on the Asus EP121. The dimensions are:

    <> Outside diameter: 2.97 mm
<> Inside diameter (best estimate): 1.04 mm
    <> Exposed length: 7.72 mm

    The Tekkeon PA-L30 dimensions are:

    <> Outside diameter: 3.02mm
<> Inside diameter (best estimate): 0.97mm
    <> Exposed length: 9.22mm

I have checked the PA-L30 and it fits the S7S (even "clicks" in). However, because it is longer, it sticks out slightly from the side of the slate.

Another forum member has reported that the Energizer / XPal adapter tip (AB23) also fits and that the S7S charges from the XPal battery. Both batteries will output the required 19 V, so they should both be suitable.

ADDENDUM: A handy alternate to the long and bulky 3-conductor AC power cord that is typically furnished with these AC adapters is this 1-foot AC power cord available from CyberGuys:

    1ft. Notebook / Laptop C5 Power Cable, 3-Prong

It costs less than $3 and the cord is very flexible. It fits the AC adapter very well...

Just picked up my S7S and it has a different AC Adapter. It's a LITE-ON adapter:

    Model #: PA-1400-14
    SEC: AD-4019P
    Input: 100-240V, 50-60Hz, 1.0A
    Output: 19Vdc, 2.1A

    LITE-ON Product ID: AA-PA2N40S

While it isn't printed on the adapter, this is a 40W adapter.

Has anyone received the dock yet? Does it come with it's own power adapter?

I usually carry a single kensington AC adapter with multiple tips. Of course there is no tip for this slate.

As an alternative, are there any devices that have compatible Docking Port cables connecting to a USB charger? This would at least solve the car dilemma since I have the Griffen dual USB outlets in every lighter port.

I do know after a trip to Best Buy that the Samsung connectors for their Andorid devices is NOT the same as on this device.

We need a solution.... Anyone have ideas?

It appears the S7S is using the same adapter as several other Samsung products - perhaps someone should take the lead and submit a request to one of the universal adapter companies...

Which Samsung products is using the same adapter? If we can find a USB to Dock port adapter that would be extremely usefull.

Not sure how accurate this page is, but it lists a lot of models using the same AC adapter:

Samsung PA-1400-14 Replacement Notebook Power Supply

Looks like the NP-N150 netbook may use a compatible AC Adapter.

I'm also hoping the dock might come with an extra AC Adapter - so I may wait until I get my dock - and if it doesn't have an AC adapter - then I'll scrounge to find a compatible one.

Been using the Kensington AC Adapter for a while with 2 other devices and it works great. However Kensington doesn't have the Samsung Tip. Radio Shack has the Enercell Adaptaplug "G". While not made for the Kensington, it does seem to work!!

One AC Adapter, Multiple Units... Light weight...

Now if there was only a way to power and charge the tablet via USB.

If anyone finds out what tip would work for the Targus APM69US let me know, as the Series 7 isn't listed on the Targus site yet. :D (I checked a number of those alternate models that supposedly use the same charger and Targus is still "determining compatibility".
