    Hello,
I was installing a SSD in my 2 week old TM2 and the sata connector on the mother board broke. The sata connector is still firmly inplace on the board, just where the drive connects is broken.

I guess that this will not be covered by warranty.

What are my options? I do know how to solder.

    Thank you

would you take a picture for us?

because the image I'm getting my head is that the adapter for your TM2 just came off the standard HDD.

do not try anything that may damage it yet, contact HP to see if poor build quality (if it truly is broken) is covered by the warranty,

I agree a picture will help.

Depending on how the connector broke, there will be a couple of options to fix it.
