Agreed. I did preorder the device but only after I learned about the upcoming ~$100 discount Best Buy trade offer. I need to go back to the store and try out the multitasking, as that has been important to me, and with Nougat the feature has changed.

I may still cancel my pre-order and wait...

well BB has a nice return policy... so you can try for 15 days and return for full refund if you don't like it. (up to 45 days for return (or price match) if elite.)

For tablets if there is a color choice I choose anything other than black. So in this case silver

I normally prefer black, but in this case silver, as the black is a finger-print magnet.

Still waiting for the Samsung Chromebook Pro here...Which strikes me as a comparable but better buy.

With the advent of the Pencil on the iPad Pro, I had hoped someone would create a case that holds the stylus, with built-in 3-4 "express keys" connected to the Magnetic Pogo Keyboard port. App developers could offer to control in-app functions via the express keys as they woudl essentially function the same as the key "normal keyboard" .

Now that the Tab S3 has the same functionality, maybe someone will... I can dream.

Played with the Tab S3 at my local Best Buy and I can't say I'd recommend it for the price. The pen is still too thin and the small, flush pen button is almost insulting. Didn't care for the pen shape. It was only comfortable to hold in one position. Also the Samsung pen UI kept interfering with Notes. Although I like the aspect ration, the Tab A 10.1 is a much better value. But I really dislike that device's toothpick stylus.

surfaceproartist, i tend to agree that the S3 is not worth $600. Samsung may find they need to drop the price sooner rather than later.

As for stylus's I often reccomend people try them out for themselves as needs can vary. At least the Samsung compatible stylus is fairly economical in comparisn to active versions. I found the stylus to be more comfortable than i expected.

I tend to disable the pen ui pop up, other than off screen note taking.

Agreed the Tab A is a better, lower end value. It is fairly easy to find a larger stylus for it.
