Thanks, I suspected that like Apple once you are in their "garden" things are easier.

The 15 GB storage would be useful for him too. He has an ancient iPhone to go with his ancient iPad. Perhaps for fathers day I'll get him one of the new S10s to go with a TabS5e. Then he and my daughter together can talk smack about IOS to me.

So, no plans to import to the US.:vbfrown:. If Samsung had an international warranty I would consider shipping from an Asian distributer.

That's the problem with Samsung. I decided to risk it since it's only $300. Wouldn't buy if it were up to $500.

Just received the one I ordered from the Philippines, but I'm still out and about.

This thing doesn't feel cheap at all, it's rather sturdy and well built. It's a bit narrow, more like a 7" device. The above pictures is a comparison with the iPad mini (v 2 or 3 from my work), you can see the entire with of the device including bezels is almost the same with the screen area if the mini. It's entirely possible to use this as a phone if you wear regular fit pants. And would have done that because, it turns out this is a phone. That surprised me. Popped in the Sim from my GN8 and it made and received calls.
In short, I'm glad I got this over the iPM5.

Let me know if there's anything you guys would like me to check.

Could you install Medibang Paint (its free) and post a screen cap of the interface?
Thats my prefered Art App on Android....its cross platform across Windows, MacOS, Android, and iOS...but the Apps interface I find changes based on your screen size and device. But weirdly in some cases, the location of specific tools....and even the names for them....can be different from device to device. For an app that prides it self on its extreme cross compatibility among OS's....I find that kind of perplexing.

But I'm curious if its default interface is closer to my iPad Mini 5, or Galaxy Note 8.

Looks really nice. Reminds me of my Asus Note 8.

Could post a picture if this thing in your pants? :)

I'm actually genuinely curious about using this thing as a phone.
