Are you happy with the camera(s)?
For those considering using this as a phone, the cameras matter more than they usually do on tablets.

Tablet as a phone has been a fixture in Asia since the first Samsung 7' Tab way back in 2010? An AIO big screen phone, if you will. Still using my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 as such.

Re: NTT Docomo is PITA if you are coming from another GSM country. I can only use wifi on my Note 5 and using a loaner Docomo phone for voice call. Couldn't be bothered most of the time and just use our Skype minutes to call the Mrs (Jpn to SG) - Disclaimer: NTT Asia pays my salary.

It will be in the Software information tab of settings. if the version is 3.xx then it's the full version if it's 2.xx or 1.xx then it's the limited version.

Thank you very much for checking :)

Do not order form tobydeals or tecobuy (pretty sure they are the same).
They do not actually have any stock and will not tell you until you ask.
Toby did do a refund pretty quickly though.

Looks like eglobal is the only hope if you want to order now.

I have not had any luck using Samsung where to buy links.

Side by side comparison with old Tab A. Can't believe how much smaller this is. Actually closer to a Nexus 7 in size. Damn!

That really is a substantial reduction. I wish they would officially bring it to the US. I cant fathom why they haven't especially since the new Tab A 10.1 (2019)is already on sale at Best Buy and Walmart.

And the new 10.1 has the same degree of shrinkage as the 8

Exactly, and the body looks very much like the Nexus 7 too. I made that comparison earlier in the thread.

You did. But it's really striking when you see it.

True. It's almost the perfect companion device for what it costs. I wish Samsung has opted for a more powerful chip.
