Holy crap that's a really high price for a pen that doesn't even have an eraser. I guess the only real option is the newer wacom... unless anyone knows if they make any type of foam or cushy grip you can slip on the s pen like old pen grips? If I wasn't afraid of residue I'd just squish a kneaded eraser on the darn thing.

Isn't the black S Pen the one that comes with the new Tab S3?

the tip feels fine, but what about the size of the pen?

FYI the Bamboo Smart for select Galaxy Note devices appears to have been discontinued, so I would snap them up while they're still around.

It's much more "normal" sized. It has a slightly grippy matte texture and is a good length and width. It feels like an extremely comfortable pen.

Wow! You're absolutely right! My Fujitsu t-series pen works with the 10.1 Tab A. It's good to know that all these other pens work, because I'm not sure whether Samsung/Wacom sell nibs to either the s-pen or the smart 2-in-1 pen.

    EDIT:
It seems that they do now. I wrote Wacom an email a few months ago and they couldn't tell me anything about these replacement nibs. I'm going to stock up now just in case.

Is there a lot of offset with the fujitsu pen you used?

Yes unfortunately there was offset. If anything I would use that pen as a spare, as the Bamboo Smart (for Galaxy Note devices) is actually pretty nice to use compared to the s-pen in terms of ergonomics.

Yes, lots of offset. Having two side buttons and eraser are nice, It given the choice would stick with a recent sPen, Bamboo smart stylus, or Staedtler, as they have tilt and better pressure detection.

The Staedler has no buttons though correct?

I don't remember seeing any buttons on the Staedtler, but if it works with the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 then I'll definitely get it. Has Samsung ever blocked newer s-pens from being supported on older devices?
