Well I found a use for my 2016 Tab A life drawing and gestures, "on-the-go". I use a "always on top windowed" slide-show running of reference images while drawing in Sketchbook Pro/Painter etc... I used to do this frequently on my older note devices.

The Tab A shipped w Android 6.1 Marshmallow that would allow apps to run while in the background. For me I run Quickpic slideshow at various intervals between 30 seconds to 5 minutes to practice life drawing.

The Tab S3 shipped w Android 7.0 Nougat. It defaults to pausing apps when they are in the background. There is a couple work-arounds for video players but nothing for image viewers. So currently my life drawing practice is impossible on Android 7+

I downgraded my Tab A to Marshmallow to get that function back! In almost every way 7 is better, except this 1 important feature. ****
