Hasn't been made official yet, but the pen does look big enough to contain a battery.

That's a pretty interesting design - especially the separation of note taking and productivity areas, but it's a pretty big chunk of metal and glass.

The pen is identical looking to the standard HP AES pen.

It could also just be that they wanted to make it more ergonomic pleasing.

I don't think so - the pen in the picture has the same clip and two round buttons as the pen that comes with the HP Spectre Folio and x360.

I also wonder if we are getting into MacBook Pro 15 pricing with this bad boy...

The chance of the ZenBook Pro Duo having EMR would be slim to none. It’s almost a guarantee it will be using MPP or AES. Unless EMR is specifically mentioned, everyone should just assume MPP or AES for most any device....even Samsung given their recent use of MPP instead of an S-pen. And Given the Zenbooks built in second screen, battery life will no doubt be a major concern with it....the last thing it needs is a battery sucking EMR field to add to the battery drainage. And the ZenBook doesn’t yoga/2-in-1 transform....so its overall usefulness as an art device would be roughly the same as the Surface Laptop from a practical standpoint. And given The videos for it only show the pen being used on the bottom secondary screen....there’s a chance the main screen might not be penabled at all. And the cherry on top is they even showed an ad picture of the device next to a Wacom Intuos tablet. If this thing had full EMR, or the pen was envisioned as anything beyond an afterthought....the Intuos would be redundant.

@Steve S already disproved this in the Computex thread:

Quite nice when OEMs get details like this right. (for once) ;)

FYI I keep breaking the SGB12 nibs
about to buy a 2nd replacement pack because I am down to 3 nibs out of 5 (1 in the pen so 2 remaining)

Clearly I am used to the more robust nibs in the older wacom pens... I feel like such a failure....

Never broke an old EMR nib and never considered myself to be heavy handed.
