Hey folks! Look what I found:

S Pen (toothpick) holders are a great idea, but they have been out of circulation for years.

Some fellow in China just put up a small stash of them on eBay.

    $8.99 CAD plus shipping.

I just bought one, (my S Pen Large just died so I was looking around for alternatives and was surprised to see these pop up.)

    Keen.

I may still snag one of those Wacom Bamboo Smart pens which work on Samsung devices, but they're over $100! They're also a discontinued line.

    UPDATE*****************

The pen arrived. I do NOT recommend it for artists, though it's great for note-takers. Basically, it simulates a ball point pen to perfection, but is lousy at providing a satisfying pressure curve. See my full description here

Great find...didn't realize the Bamboo's were so expensive...what am I saying, that's the same as Surface Pen and Apple Pencil Wacom wannabes...

The Bamboo Pen was discontinuted by Wacom and....yeah the prices it can go for on ebay are just nuts. But for a while if you wanted a full size EMR pen that worked nicely without offset in Samsung Devices it was really your only option aside from what Samsung offered. But the release and easy availablily of the HP Zbook X2 pen makes the need for the Bamboo kind of irrelevant since it works flawlessly with Samsung products and is overall a superior Pen.

    You mean this one:

    https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-zbook-x2-pen

Somewhat worryingly.., it's listed as "Out of Stock".

    Yikes.

Seems like accessories for a lot of computers these days are out of stock - even newer models.

After getting the last Windows update, my GB12 gets extremely hot. Does anyone have the same experience?

make cpu undervolting offset voltage -90 mV
this will lower the processor temperature by 10-7 °C

My guess is that they only put in a production order for pens and such to cover the immediate needs and product support for a measured year or two. Further orders depend on market response to the Mother Ship.

The ubiquity of S Pens and the old Penabled design, (which are still available on eBay for $15), is a direct result of the mass market adoption of the tech.

I just don't get why Samsung has stuck with the toothpick approach with such tenacity. A real pen seems like an obvious choice. But it probably comes down to one or two people in a department somewhere who simply have bigger concerns to pay attention to, (and no way for us to send him or her an email.)
