I would agree, specially if battery life matches the 10 hours the Duo 13 gets. Now, only if they can price it right. It also looks like the standard atom Ativ is now the Ativ Tab 3(similar looking to the Tab 3), and still offers an S-Pen.

Really? MicroSD, MicroHDMI, USB2.0 and USB3.0

What more ports could you want?

Full size SD(at least for me that is a must), and for some I guess two USB 3.0 seeing as Sony and a few others offer 2 usb 3 ports.

Only three things I need to know about the Q.

    1) Price - $1400 and Samsung has a bestseller on their hands. $1600 would be my limit.
    2) Keyboard and trackpoint quality. The keyboard must NOT flex and the trackpoint should be on par with Thinkpads.
    3) Efficiency. It's gotta be able to go at least 6 hours with wireless on or 8 with it off.

Otherwise, the inclusion of the S-pen (with silo!) and insane screen resolution makes this device one of the top tablets out there, I think.

Yes, a company has finally listened and checked all the boxes. This is a dream machine. If they have a top-tier model with 8GB RAM and i7 then it's a winner.

Agreed! I'm very interested in this, but it would just kill it for me if they limit the RAM to 4 GB. With all that screen resolution, it's crying out for more RAM to deal with big graphics files.

I was really excited when I read about the screen going parallel to the keyboard, but now I realize they mean in a non-rigid fashion, which wouldn't work for drawing. Hopefully some designer will one day realize the benefits of being able to use the stylus and keyboard at once...

I'd imagine that they assume most people will just use 200% scaling. Still, I'd be concerned about the GPU performance, pushing that many pixels.

Yeah, I wouldn't need more than that. The problem is in the video I watched he walked around the sides and pointed out the volume and power buttons and even the lock port, but that was it. So I presumed there to be not many additional. Plus I couldn't find a specs sheet.

But if it has all those, I'm GOOD!

My thought was it can't be too much worse than the 1,920 on my Duo 11. Since this has a higher res screen but also is 13.3 inches, I was hoping it would even out from a UI stand point. For me, my Duo 11 is pushing it from a smmaaaaaaall UI stand point. In that regard, I'm definitely with you.

OK, so what do we call this form factor? It's somewhere between 'slider' and 'convertible'. Maybe 'Pivot'?

I wish I could find info on all these ports you've listed. Can you point me to where you saw them? I've looked around all the edges and see space for maybe two of what you listed under the top right flap. Is it possible that they could fit 2 USB ports, a MicroSD card slot, and a Micro HDMI port all under that little flap on the top right?

Update: I found them all! You're absolutely right!

This thing is perfect! (weight aside). But it's the first device to check off all my boxes, this is of course assuming they offer a model with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. Fingers crossed!

Sucks they seem to be limiting it to 4GB RAM
