I assumed that the SA12 does /not/ have Thunderbolt3... but then I was thinking that we were all told (many times) that it didn't support power over the USB-C port for months.

Hm. Anyone have any way to test? Anyone have a TB3 dock or eGPU or other TB3 device to link to?

Sorry to disappoint you, but the SA12 definitely does NOT have Thunderbolt 3. This was confirmed several times by Acer.
Thunderbolt 3 is not a minor thing, it needs a separate chip from Intel, the Alpine Ridge controller.

Asus themselves never said that the USB-C port didn't support USB Power Delivery, that were just assumptions by users.

Actually, Acer told many people, including reviewers, that there was no PD. But I'd guess there isn't TB either.

    Thanks.
