    Hello all,
It's been awhile since I've been here. I have given my tm2-1000 to a friend. I replaced the hard drive with a Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD and the Intel 1000 wifi card with an Intel 3160, which required loading a modded BIOS. Wireless range is still poor however.

I've like to improve wireless range and performance. I have read that the antennae can become damaged on this model. Does anyone have a guide on how to go about replacing these? I know they are in the monitor. I'm assuming I just follow the service manual and this video, buy and install something like this part and I'll be good to go, or is there something else to it?

My model has the Gobi 2000/3G card in it. Can I use that antenna wire for the wifi card to avoid having to take apart this machine?

    Thanks all.
