    Antutu Benchmark ;)

    So If you want to try it, basically, just follow your guide to install RemixOS first, edit grub/efi. Then leave it there.

    Download Android Marshmallows iso file from Fosshub (the link is on android-x86.org) then use "Android x86 Easy installer" (it's on XDA forum so just google it). Exact the iso to any location using the app then copy the exacted files (system.img, kernel. Ramdisk, etc) to Remix folder (replaces the original files) Done! :)

    Most of the core function works except microphone, autobrightness, camera and there is some wired issue like audio is still playing even if the headphone is plugged in. Besides those issues, everthing else works fine, in fact, it runs prettty smooth :)

    Anyways, I'll put up a full tutorial soon! Enjoy!

    Say hello to Cyanogenmod :D
    @VenueMark no comment on battery as my battery is pretty bad already.

    I'm still testing several builds to find the best one.

    Did anyone try to install on DV8P the Remix OS version 3.0? Will the same procedure work?

    I've sucessfully installed RemixOS on Dell Venue 8 Pro(5830).

    Installed using Remix OS 3.0 installer on separate partition (32 bit version). Disabled bitlocker and Secure Boot.

    After installation, only one step to be done is edit grub.cfg

    To do this open command line (cmd ->RMB->Run as Administrator).
    Type : mountvol b: /s
    Type: notepad b:\boot\grub\grub.cfg

    Edit file to looks like this:

    search --no-floppy -f /EFI/RemixOS/theme.cfg --set=efi --hint hd0,msdos1
    set prefix=(${efi})/EFI/RemixOS
    source ${prefix}/theme.cfg

    set timeout=3
    set gfxmode=800x600 terminal_output gfxterm

    menuentry 'Remix OS' --class android-x86 {
    #removed this entry because of errors that ntfs mod is allready loaded
    #insmod /efi/RemixOS/ntfs32.mod
    insmod /efi/RemixOS/exfat32.mod
    search --file --no-floppy --set=root /RemixOS/kernel
    linux /RemixOS/kernel root=/dev/ram0 androidboot.hardware=remix_x86 androidboot.selinux=permissive quiet SERIAL=random logo.showlogo=1 DATA= SRC=RemixOS
    vga=current nomodeset video=VGA-1:800x1280e drm.vblankoffdelay=1 CREATE_DATA_IMG=1
    initrd /RemixOS/initrd.img
    }

    #this part is not neded if you dont want to boot windows from grub menu
    menuentry 'Windows 10'{
    #search --file --no-flopyy --set=root /EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi
    chainloader (${root})/EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi
    }

    Save changes.

    Type: mountvol b: /d

    Close command line.

    Reboot (eventualy use boot menu to choose correct boot entry).
    On first boot aspect ratio of the screen is messed up but on next reboot is ok.

    Yes, use the same method, backup EFI/Remix folder. Then install Remix OS 3.0 as usual then replace the EFI with the backup. Done!
    BONUS: Bluetooth dongle works!! :D

    Running lastest 3.0.102 version... do u guys fell like no gpu acceleration at all... everything is sooo slow comparing to 3.0 ver. It ran very smooth.
    AS for me there are problems with sleep/standby , It often just dimms the screen and cant wake It up also wifi has a very weak range/signal

    Has anybody tried the new remix OS player emulator? I tried it but couldn't get it to work. If anyone knows how to get the remix OS player running on the Dell venue 8 pro, please let me know.
