As there is no price it could simply be a case of the web designer getting it wrong believing they had to create 3 selection points.

As to the issue at hand, I'm having a hell of a time getting FSC UK to either confirm or deny if there is to be an SXGA+ option later.

Why not try FSC USA or Japan?

I doubt it would make any difference.
For the past three years I have had a strong liaison with FSC UK support and have always found them to be helpful in giving information ~ although sometimes the info you do receive is of a 'non-disclosure' if you know what I mean......
As such in those cases, you have to honour any intimate details of what info you are given.
They then normally allow you to publish any such details immediately after it is formally announced.

This however seems a little different...... for the time being :)

I asked the place where I bought my T4210 at (www.laptopauthority.com) if they heard anything about SXGA+ and they said this option is not really available yet. And, if it will be available, only "bulk" purchases (like hospitals or state departments, ordering in big quantities) will be eligible for this type of screen first. No clue on the cost or availability date, though. Probably later this year, they said.

BOE LCD who account for 70% of the markets tablet LCD screens are due to release the 12.1" SXGA+ in August.
All I now need is for FSC UK to confirm this for me.

Two steps forward, one step back..........

    Right....
I finally managed to speak with someone with knowledge at FSC UK.

    Here is the official verdict.

There are no plans over the next year to change the display according to the roadmap which is NDA.
The screen will remain at an XGA only.
