The R1F is present in ASUS catalog in Portugal. You can look it up in

    http://www.asus-advantage.com/web/descargas/200610_PT_NB_PVP.pdf

Since most of specifications are in english (universal tech language) most of you can easely follow the catalog.

Prices are also there, in Euro (1 euro = 1.25 USD, more or less).

    Following your discussions, the portuguese versions will be based in the Core 2 Duo (T7600 / T7400 / T7200 / T5600 / T5500 - 4MB/2MB cache - 1,66GHz-2,33GHz)

This is a little confusing, since the catalog states only one price configuration:

    Core 2 Duo T7200
    1 GB RAM
    Disk: SATA 100GB+TPM
    Price: 1.999 euro

(can´t tell you if any other configuration will be available, the PDF catalog has only one)

Did a quick search at the web sites of the main distributors in portugal but couln't find the R1F yet.

BTW, the R2 is available (899 euro), has you can check in the catalog, along with specifications (especificações in portuguese).

Hope this helps in the discussion of what is available where.

I don't have a Tablet PC, just flirting with the notion.
Started with the discontinued TC1100 (love the machine), seriously considered the Toshiba M4, decide to wait to see the machines from ASUS (95% of the company portables are from then) and from Lenovo (the Thinkpad X60t).

    "See" you.

    Viva mal_disposto :p

Hei, man, thx for the info :)

I'm considering buying the R1F. I'm not sure if being available in the site means they have it for delivery ... :)

I'll buy mine with my employer, so we are still discussing it. If we dont't agree the buy .. I'll heve to buy it myself, anyway, eheheheheh.

    (A note to you english speaking guys ... mal_disposto = bad_mood or bad_temper ... :) )

    Hi

Lucky you, i will have to buy myself, if i want.

Coudn't you tell me who is your boss? Perhaps he could buy me one to :) :) :D

By the way, when you buy it you could post a litle review, i'm not yet fully sure about R1F, and is always good to know an opinion from someone of the some country.

Anyway is good to know that world is not so big as it apears ;)
