as far as i can remember, you can just press "update" button in package manager GUI ..
I think I read all of the post twice, but I might have missed the info...
Is there a way for the Package Manager to recognize the apps the were installed previously without it (I instead used the "FullInstall" zip on freeenote) so they can eventually be upgrade by the Package Manager?
If not, how do I remove/unistall apps that were previously loaded with the FullInstall?
- Would the best way be a command line in the Console?
- Is it as good as using this "unistalling" app? (http://forum.tabletpcreview.com/asus...tml#post218059)
Package Manager does not recognise apps that were installed previously without it, so it cannot update them.
Someone else will have to answer how best to uninstall such apps.
Hi, i just installed them with package manager over the originals, so not i can remove them or update them etc
I think i did that too, but not sure now - either way it works now
This should be a sticky on the forum.
What is the latest method to install new apps on eee Note 800?
I see that d.goryachev just added a new application to the application repository but I can't figure out how or if he updated this installer
What is the preferred method for installing? I would prefer to download the latest qPacker, put it on my sdcard and install from there
Above I am seeing some references to via internet updates, is this now the preferred method?
When a developer says that his new package is available via qtPacker does this mean he has a way to include his file in the latest zip file that we can download and install
or he simply uploaded the file in the repository and the qtPacker will be able to get it provided that eee Note is connected to internet?
In qtPacker click Update to update your feed, then Install the app or click Upgrade to upgrade an app you've already installed.
Not sure about that.
Is it possible to use QtPacker behind proxy?
