3144 is about 50% of what that CPU should do, so still worrisome.

If you can select the performance power plan, edit it and check that it is set to allow 100% of the CPU and graphics to be used.

Run a test of the tablet while plugged in to power outlet.

Now more importantly, did you by any chance buy the Docking cradle, as there is a possibility that when in that cradle the tablet is allowed to use more CPU.

Thank you in advance for spending time on this and getting on Fujitsu case, because we love that tablet, but only getting 50/ 60% of the CPU performance is really not exciting.

How is the fan noise under light use?

    @Rob79

Also, I forgot, can you explain how the slim keyboard cover prevents the tablet from tipping over.

If you could take some pictures of the tablet with the keyboard both closed and on a table from the side so we can clearly see, it would be great.

    Thanks again :)

Used the Q704 last night in a unplugged fashion docked to slim keyboard. I was just using it for wifi browsing and downloading and installing Avast. At first the web browsing was pretty silent, but once I started installing the avast install file the fan ramped up I would say to full speed as it is comparable to the geekbench testing fan speed. It is definitely constantly being monitored at it does ramp up and down very dynamically but it was somewhat disappointing to what I would describe as a very light load and the level it required to ramp up to. When I first received the unit I had some major concerns about how physically stable the Q704 was with the thin keyboard but after 5 min I figured it out. The keyboard bottom just slides out 3-4" out the back to counterbalance the tablet I will try and take pics and post. Also on a related note I have the Q584 on route and should receive that on Monday.

Have run that test, no I do not have the docking cradle but there is button on the bottom left side that opens Fujitsu Function Manager and it has a "Cradle Mode" option to enable , so I am trying that here are my numbers

Q704 I7-4600U plugged in on geekbench and got Single Core 1357 Multi-Core 2295 - This was on the high performance profile with "Cradle Mode" enabled, CPU mode HIGH
Q704 I7-4600U plugged in on geekbench and got Single Core 1472 Multi-Core 2255 - This was on the balanced performance profile with "Cradle Mode" enabled, CPU mode HIGH
Q704 I7-4600U un-plugged on geekbench and got Single Core 2084 Multi-Core 3134 - This was on the balanced performance profile with "Cradle Mode" disabled, CPU mode Balanced

Looks like "Cradle Mode" hurts performance considerably, not sure why yet. Also seem to get much better numbers unplugged??????

Thank you so much for the pictures of the thin keyboard, it clarifies the mechanism in place for not tipping.

It also does not look that thin. Could you measure the total thickness of tablet and keyboard when folded (mm welcome:) ). Also, is the thin keyboard backlit by any chance?

As for the performance, this does not make any sense, unless the dock has some capabilities to increase the venting of the tablet.

It could explain that if you force the cradle mode when not present, you overheat the tablet and it gets throttled even more.

Praying for someone with a cradle to come online :)

    Thanks again

In the mean time I emailed Fujitsu support about these issues, and so far their answer are useless. They are not answering the question about the performance with the cradle, and they are not giving any benchmark, or saying if the lack of performance is normal or not.

Fujitsu is supposed to be sending me the cradle next week. I have not bought anything just trying out for our new branch concept.
