Has anyone tried to put a 64 bit version of Windows on this? Can clover trail handle that?
Clover is 32bit only. Also limited to 2gigs of ram. No way around either of these limitations.
Thanks, thats what I figured.
link to what I believe is the synaptics driver...
i found it in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers
To anyone who already has the Vivotab: could you read the specs of the AC charger and tell them to me? My tablet still has not arrived, I will need an european usb charger, something like this
but I don't want to damage the tablet and I want to buy one with similar specs. Thanks a lot.
Page 18 of the manual says it's 5 volts and 2 amps.
Here's a link to the manual I downloaded from the Asus site: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/47422/e7493_tf810c_em2.pdf
As long as your charger doesn't exceed 5V (USB standard spec), you're fine. If it's less than 2 amps, you're either going to charge slowly or not at all. Over 2 amps is fine. An iPad charger at 5 volts and 2.1 amps will work great.
Along these lines, what's this 36 pin cable Asus is using? Is my device going to be bricked if I lose that cable? Why do manufacturers insist on proprietary crap? One advantage of the TPT2 may be the standard micro-USB charging port.
Also, in case you guys haven't seen it, here's a video a guy posted to Vimeo of an unboxing (first I was able to find), and here's some pictures he took. Here's the link to the post I found.
Many many thanks.
Turns out my tablet has a deadspot in the left side of the screen where the digitizer doesn't register. Hoping it goes away, but looks like I'll have to get it replaced.
Is it on the very edge? Digitizers always have issues with accuracy near the edges.
