Haven't posted here in a while! My Toshiba Tecra M7 finally kicked the bucket a couple of years ago, so I bought a secondhand Fujitsu Lifebook T5010 to replace it (thanks to all the wonderful suggestions and recommendations!) I really love it and would definitely recommend the laptop for anyone looking for a cheap convertible art tablet.

    Sorry for so many pics!

Thank you so much! I did! It was actually from a couple of years ago when I first got the T5010. =]

Having some huge problems with the Win8.1 tablet drivers (sometimes they fix themselves after reboot, sometimes they break), so I haven't been able to draw reliably recently. Anyway, here's some sketches while my drivers are working.

We're doing a community outreach activity at work where we're rendering characters designed by students at an elementary school. I picked a blue fairy drawn by a 5th grade girl:

I hope she likes it :)

All Sketchbook Pro except for the motion blur on the wings and the bevel on the text, which I handled in Photoshop. Roughly four hours of work on a Thinkpad Yoga at 2550 x 3300.

Thanks guys! It was a fun exercise, trying to make sure I included all the little details that I know are so important to kids. Highly recommended if you're ever suffering a creative block.
