    On topic here :D:

For those of you painting on the C-140X, how's the default pen for you? Did you replace the pen? If so, which one do you prefer? Did you consider pens from other OEMs? And, does anyone know of a way to try them out before buying (I don't think stores carry these)?

The pen it comes with is great. For my work.

I work in the 3d field. And used to be a traditional illustrator. But when jumping to computer graphics years ago. I went 3d. I have owned 3 wacom tablets but never really used them.
I may have done one sketch with a wacom tablet. But I knew it was never right. So when I found the 140x so I could draw almost traditional on the screen. I had to buy it.
This pic is a quick sketch and to see how few of lines I could use to capture a likeness. Painted in artrage.
The gray eye is a painting in sketchbook in progress of Marilyn Monroe.

I love the 140 but I do have dead pixels I need to talk to gateway about.

    wow.

Some people just have a natural gift (you)

And other have to practice to make something even recognisable (me)

Nice drawings! Ive never been good at realistic drawing, cartoon is more my style as you can see in my lame excuse for art in the first post.

    wow is right!
Can this kind of detail (near perfection) be done with color?

Can't wait to try mine out. I've had a Toshiba Portege 3505 tablet for nearly 5 years and the C-140x is my upgrade/replacement.

Thanks guys the portrait was quick maybe an hour it again was my second drawing on a computer.
I spend most of my time building 3d models.
The eye took maybe 10 min. yea color works the same but I have a thing for black and white.
    Also it’s much quicker.
I’ll show more soon and I did recorded a video on how to draw I’m going to post somewhere it’s on the 140x.

n0s4ra2, I am curious how 3d modelling works with a tablet. Care to expound on it?
