If it makes you feel any better, the one I ordered from NewEgg last week is taking its sweet time to arrive. I've got the RAM but I'd rather limit the number of times I try to open this machine up. No idea when the new WiFi mPCIe card will arrive from eBay.

For anybody in Toronto who is interested, it appears possible to create an XP18000 adapter using $7 worth of parts from Active Surplus on Queen West. I'll try to document the process, but it looks like the closest compatible tip is just a little loose (consistent with Edwood's Walmart tip) and needs to be squished just a bit with a pair of needle-nosed pliers.

I'm nevus that this still may be the wrong SSD! Seems strange that they have so many in stock and the picture looks different than the New Egg product.. I put Notes in Paypal and the order to Double check that we were talking about the right SSD.. Ill post their response here..

Scratch THAT! FuturePowerPC is a scam! Nothing in stock.. Super bad customer reviews.. Sorry everyone.. If anyone sees an opportunity to buy a 80gb Intel 310 series Soda Creek drive please let me know.. This is a tough one to hunt down and I'm learning the hard way about crappy electronics outfits..

    Thanks,

    IC

you'll probably have to wait.. over a week, depending. Purolator shows mine as arriving in Toronto this evening after getting to Vancouver on Monday and leaving LAX last Thursday. That's one slow truck! ;)
