has anyone been able to get their calibration perfect so the cursor/ink dot is right where the tip of the pen is? Mine is always to the right or left or up or down.

It gets very annoying sometimes when writing. I am running XP...is the calibration in Vista better?

I don't know about other users but it seems the calibration is much better in Vista. I will mention this though; the calibration is almost accurate in the primary portrait mode but the pen drifts a little in other modes. As I use only the primary portrait mode mostly, I am fine with this.

Yeah i am considering on moving to vista.

I am just a bit afraid due to the hardware requirements...

I don't have 2 gigs of ram yet... its coming but its not here yet...

I will have to give it whirl for sure.

I cannot imagine there's a difference in calibration. All the Windows tablet software is premature anyway. Get StrokeIt and ritePen and you're better off. I do not see a reason to use Vista.

It's always off in my case no matter how much I calibrate it. And also, around the edges of the screen, the pen sensitivity is really low, so whenever I write to the side of the screen, my characters look all blocky.

I use Win XP TE and my calibration works fine. You just have to try a lot until the mousepointer fits.

But I've got the same problem you have. If I write on my Fujitsu T2010 near the borders the writing is awful.
Would be nice to hear how this is in Vista.

Using Windows Journal with Vista Ultimate on my x61 and there is NO difference in the quality of charactors or pen sensitivity right to the boarders.
My cursor is within a mm of the tip no matter where I move it to.
