Check out these Peel & Clean Pads from Bart 1 Products, a manufacturer of products designed to customize your personal devices and keep them clean. The pads are a little bigger than a piece of paper at 9"x12", so if you have a newer 17" laptop you may have to use two pads, but they are the perfect size for Tablet users. I tested them out on my Asus R1F and they fit with no problems.

The Peel & Clean Pads are easy to use and they can be used more than once. The package contains, four pads, a daily liner insert and a faux suede cloth that is used for smudges. The daily liner insert is a foam-like pad that is made to use during idle time and when transporting your laptop. It will help protect your screen from key imprints over time.

The Peel & Clean Kit safely removes dirt, dust, food particles and more from your keyboard and screen. Even if you are a very clean person, you can't stop dust from sneaking in. The pads cleaned the dust off my R1F in seconds, leaving nothing behind. It is kind of difficult to keep the pad down around the keys, so make sure to press hard and get in those little spaces.

The directions are easy to follow and the cleaning process only takes a few minutes, which is great for traveling because that is when your notebook gets shoved in and out of your bag, collecting lots of airborne dirt and dust. Make sure you turn off your laptop before cleaning and then peel and stick the pad onto the keyboard sandwiching it between the screen and keys. Once you have done that close the laptop and turn it over gently, so that anything under the keys will fall out and stick to the pad. Remove the pad and repeat as needed.

If you are using a Tablet instead of a notebook, you have to be careful when sandwiching the pad because it can be tricky to close depending on the placement of your hinge. However I had no problem closing the lid when I used my Compaq notebook. The "Smudgy Cloth", as they call it, works great at removing finger grime and dust, but after a few uses it leaves tiny suede pieces behind on your notebook.

    Conclusion

I enjoyed using the Peel & Clean Pads. They were easy to use and cleaned my R1F in seconds. The pads were difficult to keep stuck down sometimes and if your computer isn't that dirty it is hard to notice what they clean off, but trust me they do clean off the minuscule dust particles. These foam-like pads don't take up any room and will fit nicely in your notebook bag, so you can take them where ever you need to go.

    Pros

      Safe and easy to use
Doesn't take much time to clean laptop
      Low cost

      Cons

Hard to keep pad stuck all the way down on keyboard
The suede cloth comes a part after a few uses

The Peel & Clean Laptop Pads cost $15.99 plus shipping and are available now, for more information click here.

An interesting concept, Tiffany. Do you think that $16 plus shipping is cheap to clean a notebook? I do it for less than 50 cents each time - with Endust, Q-Tips and a chamois cloth. More diligent people might get a can of compressed air as well. What do you think? Was it a gosh-wow cleanup, like a $100 car detailing job?

I understand you can by Endust for a couple of dollars to clean your laptop, but honestly I don't think these Peel & Clean Pads are to expensive for what they offer and they can be reused. I don't want to carry a can of air around with me when I am traveling and it can't go in your carry on bag anymore when flying, so I am saying these pads are good for traveling. They come in handy when something happens while your not at your normal desk. They get dust and dirt off pretty good, I am not saying they are a $100 car detail, but they worked better than my first impression of them.

These sound an absolute gem Tiffany and would be ideal for whilst I'm working on the Farm and out in the 4x4.

Just a shame they are found in the States as I could most certainly 100% do with some of these.

I wonder if there's an outlet that sells them in the UK!

OK thanks Tiffany. Great find, though. I had ordered a mini-USB vacuum a few days back from eBay (under $5, shipped!)...if it's good enough, I will write a review for it.
