hi all, would like to seek for advice

i am quite happy with my P1610, except the extra small fonts
and too detailed screen resolution that make my eyes very tired,

tried to change the resolution / fonts but it just cannot fit the screen size,
    now still using 1280 x 768
dunno why it cannot be changed to 1024 x 768,
screen will become 4 x 3 ratio, and when in portrait mode, cannot show full display of some programs

    pls help...........

so you're saying that although you change the resolution, the only thing that changes is how much of the screen is displayed/ but u still have the same font size and icon size, etc.?

riven, instead of changing the screen resolution, one option to try would be to try changing the DPI. In XP, this can be found under Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > General > DPI Setting

    thx for advice, ^^

magnu55, i have tried changing the DPI already, but fonts on some program, e.g. MSN, still very tiny..... and i have changed most of the display setting but editing menu bar fonts, icon fonts, etc etc

Mistah_C, no , I mean i can change fonts size by changing the resolution,
but then there will not be full screen display, the left and right hand will be truncated under some resolution setting

You'll need to adjust your Intel GMA Driver settings (in Control Panel). Go to Display Settings -> Aspect Ratio, make sure it's set to full screen. Not sure how that goes for Vista, I'm talking about XP.

Yup... I had to contend with playing MechCommander on a shrunk screen (old game, only supported up to 800X600 =P) until I realised, LOL
