Has anyone experiencing an unreliable orientation lock switch noticed that the setting "Allow the Screen to Auto Rotate" is unchecked?

This can be found under Control Panel / Appearance and Personalization / Display / Screen Resolution.

I haven't tested this for too long but checking that option seems to make the lock switch function reliably.

Can anyone with this problem confirm that this is a fix?

Unfortunately, this didn't work for me. After checking this setting, my lock switch will always set "Auto-Rotate: On" regardless of switch position. I believe this setting is equivalent to setting Auto-Rotation via the Charms bar > Settings > Screen Icon.

I find the G-Sensor to be overly sensitive when holding the tablet cradled in portrait, often triggering a rotation to landscape when I don't mean to. I wonder if there is a way to calibrate it.

    Thanks for checking!
