    Hello, Team. I had the pleasure of taking my EP121 to my first class last night, which is the primary reason that I bought it (grad school). It performed admirably (battery life excluded :eek: ) with one weird niggle that distracted me: as I took notes with OneNote, I noticed that my writing was ever-so-unsmooth, almost microscopically jagged, especially in portrait. Now I know that the resolution in portrait is not as great as landscape (which also exhibited the symptom but to a very smaller degree), but I don't remember experiencing this with any other tablet I've owned. I did some preliminary OneNote testing over the course of the last 7 weeks that I have owned the device, and didn't notice the issue. Last night was the first true inking workout.

    I saw a thread from last week where someone was having a similar issue using OneNote when attached to a second monitor, but I am not quite sure that this is the same thing.

    Anyone seen this? Any advice to smooth the inking? Thanks in advance.

    I haven't used OneNote for handwritten notes so I haven't seen the jaggedness. I wonder: Could the jaggedness be more pronounced because you are writing quickly? IOW, does slowing down help?

    Allen - thanks for the response. I should have mentioned in my post that I did try slowing down, and it didn't seem to make that much difference. Again, it is almost imperceptible unless you have used OneNote before on high quality displays. This is just slightly off...a bit jagged and unclean. I was hoping that there was a 'smooth' function in OneNote that I had not seen before, but looking again through the settings, no such luck.

    64 bit, standard default black pen, no zoom, nothing out of the ordinary/special.

    If you haven't done so already you might try adjusting your "Tablet PC Input Panel Options". Go To;

    Control Panel,
    Tablet PC Settings (Setup & calibrate here);
    "Other" tab;
    "Go To Input Panel Settings"

    OneNote works well for me but I know I have played around with the handwriting and Tablet PC Input settings on my EP121. I don't recall if there are any settings in OneNote that might help.

    Have you tried writing in Windows Journal? If your writing is smoother there then it reasonable to suspect that OneNote is the problem.

    Only a suggestion!

    Excellent first post, Bud! I did actually try the input settings, but I have yet to try Journal. I will do that this evening when I get home to the machine. I gave you rep for your helpful attitude. Glad to have you here and contributing :)
    I will, when I get home.

    3.0.1.5

    Erm...how can I tell? I am pretty sure that it is stock.

    I do have pressure...
